Dairy Free Fancy Sauce





Here’s to making your toddler’s snacks downright fancy.

I like making this in the single serve smoothie attachment for our blender, but a bowl and whisk works too.

Drizzle this on berries, smoothie bowls, granola, oatmeal, use it as a fruit dip, eat it with a spoon if that’s your jam. I won’t judge. It’s so freakin’ good you may end up hiding it from the kids.

The recipe is super basic and delicious as-is, but also it’s one of those flexible things you can have fun experimenting with. Add cocoa powder, cinnamon, soaked dates, or vanilla. Adjust the amount of sweetener and nut butter to your preference. Start with just a small amount of almond milk, and keep adding more until the desired consistency is reached. Leave it thick for a dip, and thinner to use as a topping.

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 c. Plain Unsweetened Almond or Coconut Yogurt
3 Tbs. Almond, Peanut, or Cashew Butter
3 Tbs- 1/2 cup Almond Milk
3 tsp. Honey or Maple Syrup

Combine all ingredients and mix or blend until smooth. Start with the 3 Tbs of almond milk, and add more if a thinner consistency is desired. That’s it! Enjoy.
